Ingredients:
1 pound elbow macaroni
1 cup whole milk
2 cans (12 ounces each) evaporated milk
3 eggs
1 cup butter, cut into small pieces
½ pound Colby cheese, grated
½ pound Monterey Jack cheese, grated
½ pound sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1 pound Velveeta cheese, cut into small chunks
½ cup sour cream
Salt, to taste
1 tablespoon white pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup mild Cheddar cheese, grated (for topping)
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a deep 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. This will help prevent the macaroni from sticking.
Step 2: Cook the Macaroni: In a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil, adding a pinch of salt. Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain, then transfer to the prepared baking dish.
Step 3: Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the whole milk, evaporated milk, and eggs until smooth. Add the butter, all the grated cheeses, sour cream, salt, white pepper, and sugar to the mixture, stirring until combined.
Step 4: Combine & Bake: Pour the creamy cheese mixture over the macaroni, ensuring the pasta is evenly coated. Top with the grated mild Cheddar cheese. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Enjoy your rich, cheesy macaroni!
