Simply Great Chicken – Try this one for dinner tonight!

I often browse through your amazing blogs and find myself overwhelmed by the sheer amount of mouthwatering dishes, to the point where my recipe folders are practically overflowing.

However, there are some recipes that stand out so much that they skip the folder and go straight to my kitchen.

These are the ones that are irresistibly delicious, quick, and easy—just right for those busy nights when I want to whip up something special without spending too much time cooking.

Here’s a three-ingredient recipe that might initially be overlooked due to its simplicity. But don’t be fooled—this dish is not only easy to make but also incredibly tasty, truly deserving of its name.

I stumbled upon this gem on Bunny’s Warm Oven, where Carol, who is an absolute sweetheart and one of the three talented cooks, shared it. If you haven’t checked out their blog, you’re in for a treat.

Each post features a trio of delectable recipes, with each cook contributing to a different part of the meal, allowing you to enjoy a full, delicious menu in every visit!

Ingredients:

Approximately 3 1/2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken (both thighs and breasts work well)

1 (7-ounce) packet of dried Italian dressing mix (like Good Seasonings)

1/2 cup of packed brown sugar

Directions:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Prepare a 12×9 inch pan by greasing it or lining it with aluminum foil, as the sugar tends to caramelize during baking.

Step 2:  Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.

Step 3: In a bowl, combine the dried Italian seasoning mix with the brown sugar, ensuring they are well mixed.

Step 4: Coat each piece of chicken by pressing it into the mixture, covering both sides. Place the chicken in the prepared pan with the topside facing up. If there’s any leftover seasoning mixture, sprinkle it over the chicken.

Step 5: Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked. During baking, turn the chicken over a couple of times, spooning the saucy melted brown sugar mixture over the top.

For the final few minutes, make sure the topside is facing up to finish baking.
