Tried something new today, and let me tell you—it was unbelievably good! Tonight’s dinner: Shrimp and Crab Grilled Cheese on homemade garlic bread!
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb large shrimp
1/2 or 3/4 lb of imitation crab meat (real crab is even better, but I used what I had!)
Salt and pepper
Cajun seasoning
Garlic powder
Onion powder
3 minced garlic cloves
2 slices of bread
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp olive oil
4 slices provolone cheese + shredded cheese
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Heat a skillet on medium, add butter and garlic, and let them cook for about 2 minutes. Add shrimp and cook until done. Toss in some butter and then add the crab meat. Let that cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 2: For the garlic bread: melt 1 tbsp butter in a saucepan with 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp garlic powder, and some dried parsley. Spread this mixture over your bread.
Step 3: Build your sandwich: Start with a slice of provolone, then some shredded cheese. Add the crab meat, more shredded cheese, shrimp, and top with two more slices of provolone.
Step 4: Grill your sandwich to golden perfection—and there you have it! I hope you enjoy!
