Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 small white onion, minced
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 12 slider buns
- 1/3 cup dill pickle slices
- 6 slices American cheese
For the Butter Sauce
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until the beef is browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Stir in bouillon cube, water, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer until the liquid evaporates.
- Arrange the bottom half of the buns in a baking dish. Layer with the beef mixture, then add pickles and cheese slices. Top with the remaining buns.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Brush the mixture over the buns.
