ITALIAN GARLIC SHRIMP

I absolutely adore visiting steak houses in Canada, especially when I get to indulge in those massive shrimp served with cocktail sauce. And when there’s a gathering, I’m always the first to hunt down one of those shrimp rings.

Honestly, even when I’m back home, I still crave them. But here, although there aren’t any shrimp rings with cocktail sauce, there’s still shrimp to enjoy.

The first time I tried Sautéed Shrimp was shortly after getting married. My husband and I were invited to our wonderful friends’ place for dinner, and that’s when I fell in love with this dish.

To whip up this delicious ITALIAN GARLIC SHRIMP, you’ll need:

Ingredients:

1 lb extra-large or jumbo RAW shrimp

1 stick of butter

1 tbsp Italian seasoning

2/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 lemon

1 tbsp minced garlic

Directions:

Step 1: Clean and devein the shrimp (I usually buy shell-on deveined shrimp and just remove the shell).

Step 2: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for 1 minute.

Step 3: Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 4: Squeeze the juice of a halved lemon over the shrimp and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Step 5: Cook for another minute or until the shrimp turns opaque.

Serve with your favorite side dish and enjoy!
