Hawaiian Pizza Sliders

Looking for a quick and tasty dish that’s sure to please at your next gathering? These mini pizza sliders are just the thing!

They deliver all the flavors of your favorite pizza but in half the time it takes for delivery.

Ingredients:

12 dinner rolls or Hawaiian bread rolls

1/2 cup pizza sauce

1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

6 slices of deli-sliced black forest or honey ham

6 slices of mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup fresh or canned pineapple, finely diced and drained

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

Pinch of salt

Light pinch of pepper

Instructions:

Step 1: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F.

Step 2: Unwrap the dinner rolls and, using a bread knife, slice them in half so that the tops are separated from the bottoms. Set the tops aside for later.

Step 3: Arrange the bottoms of the rolls on a baking sheet. To make cleanup easier, I recommend using a silicone baking mat.

Step 4: Spread pizza sauce evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls, ensuring it reaches the edges. Sprinkle some Italian seasoning over the sauce.

Step 5: Layer slices of ham on top of the pizza sauce. Depending on the size of the ham slices, you may need more or less to fully cover the rolls. Adjust as needed.

Step 6: Next, place slices of mozzarella cheese over the ham. (I picked mine up from the deli counter.)

Step 7: Sprinkle pineapple evenly across the cheese, ensuring it’s distributed so that each bite has some.

Step 8: Place the tops of the rolls over the pineapple, with the cut side facing the fruit.

Step 9: Using a pastry brush, coat the tops of the rolls with melted butter. Add a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Step 10: Bake the sliders for about 15 minutes, or until the edges of the rolls are crisp and the cheese is fully melted.

Step 11: Carefully remove from the oven. Once they’ve cooled enough to handle, cut the sliders apart with a sharp knife. Transfer them to a serving plate and enjoy immediately.
