Crockpot Chicken and Gravy

Slow Cooker Chicken and Gravy is an incredibly simple, yet comforting dish that requires minimal effort and long, gentle cooking.

With just a few basic ingredients and only 5 minutes of prep, this hearty meal will be ready after six hours of simmering, filling your home with warmth and delicious aromas.

I find that the simplest meals often bring the most comfort, and this Slow Cooker Chicken and Gravy is no exception. It’s the kind of dish that reminds you of cozy family dinners at grandpa’s house.

Ingredients:

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

14 ½ oz can chicken broth

2 packets of chicken gravy mix

Instructions:

Step 1: Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Add the chicken broth, cover, and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours, or until the chicken shreds easily.

Step 2: Once cooked, transfer 2 cups of the broth from the slow cooker to a saucepan. Discard any remaining liquids. Stir in the two gravy packets and whisk until smooth. Let the gravy simmer on low heat until thickened.

Step 3: While the gravy is thickening, shred the chicken into larger pieces. Serve the chicken topped with the gravy. Enjoy!
