Canned Salmon Patties (Best Ever)

Transform canned salmon into a delicious dish with these Ultimate Salmon Patties. Crafted from pantry essentials like canned salmon, breadcrumbs, and spices, these patties are pan-fried to perfection with a crispy, golden exterior. It’s an easy and satisfying meal for any day of the week.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14.75 oz) of salmon
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 tablespoons butter, for frying
  • Lemon and dill, for garnish

Directions

  1. Drain the salmon and remove any bones and skin.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the salmon, bread crumbs, chopped green onions, celery, mayonnaise, and beaten egg.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties. Enjoy two for dinner, and save the other two for a delicious salmon burger the next day. Use condiments of your choice.
  5. Heat butter over low heat in a large sauté pan.
  6. Add the salmon patties to the pan.
  7. Cook on medium heat until each side is golden brown and the patties are cooked through.
  8. I like to serve the patties with boiled and diced potatoes, a hard-boiled egg, cream gravy, and my Candied Crunchy Dill Pickles on the side. Sprinkle a bit of dill seed and a splash of lemon juice over the patties.
