Beef Tips

Of course, I love my recipes to be refined, but as a busy mom, speed and simplicity are even more crucial.

Thankfully, this recipe checks all the boxes. This Crockpot Beef Tips With Gravy is incredibly easy to make, a hearty meal that practically prepares itself, and it’s impressive enough to serve to guests. Plus, you only need a few ingredients to whip it up!

It takes roughly ten minutes to toss everything into the crockpot at the beginning of the day (minus the cornstarch). If your beef and onion are already prepped, it’s a quick three-minute task.

From there, it cooks on its own for seven hours, and when dinner time rolls around, all you need to do is stir in some cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the gravy.

Serve this dish hot over egg noodles or mashed potatoes, and you’ll have a meal that will leave your family and friends raving!

Ingredients:

2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed

1 onion, finely chopped

1 packet of brown gravy mix

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

2 cups water

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 cup water

Optional: Sliced red or green bell peppers

Instructions:

Step 1: Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat.

Step 2: Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.

Step 3: Toss in the beef stew meat, cooking over high heat until it’s browned on all sides, about 3-5 minutes.

Step 4: Pour in 2 cups of water, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.

Step 5: Stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Step 6: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat.

Step 7: Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Step 8: In the meantime, mix the gravy packet with 1 cup of water, stirring until well combined.

Step 9: Stir the gravy mixture into the beef, then bring to a boil, stirring often until it thickens slightly.
