  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 fresh tomato slices
  • 3 thin slices of deli-style mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons softened unsalted butter

  1. Prepare the Bread and Avocado:
    • Arrange the bread slices on a plate or flat surface.
    • Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth.
  2. Assemble the Sandwich:
    • Evenly spread the mashed avocado on both slices of bread. Season with salt and pepper.
    • On one slice of bread, place two slices of mozzarella cheese, add the tomato slices, and top with the remaining cheese slice.
